Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner

Are you a Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner who wants to help make a real difference to people in Leeds?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) to join Northpoint. This role will involve working across Leeds to deliver low intensity psychological interventions. You will join us on a permanent basis, and in return you will receive a competitive salary.

  • £32,073 - £39,043  A4C Band 5  FTE (depending upon experience)

What you will be doing as our PWP:

The service operates a stepped care system, providing evidence based N.I.C.E. Guidance interventions appropriate for the client’s clinical presentation. These include Computerised Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Guided Self Help, Psycho-Educational Classes, CBT, Interpersonal Therapy, EMDR, Counselling for Depression and Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy.

You will be responsible for the screening of referrals into the service via the online platform and via telephone and face to face appointments. You will deliver evidence based low intensity interventions including classes and groups, computerised CBT and one to one guided self-help.

What are we looking for in our ideal PWP:

You must hold a relevant BPS accredited NHS Talking Therapies Qualification and be a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills 
  • A proven track recording of delivering evidence based psychological therapies
  • A good understanding of common mental health problems
  • Experience of assessing and treating common mental health problems
  • Good verbal, written and numeracy skills and IT literacy
  • Committed and enthusiastic about working with our client group
